This presentation examines the role of the business analyst (BA) on iterative projects that apply a range of process rigor, from disciplined to agile. Practical tasks and techniques are presented for performing the BA role effectively on iterative development projects. Following the presentation, attendees will understand the:

W. Charles Slaven, PMP, CSSBB, CPA, (inactive) is the Vice President with Max Solutions. He has over 25 years of experience in the fields of systems and software development and implementation, project management, quality management systems, consulting, training and financial auditing. He has over 10 years with the General Electric Company, 7 years with a Big “5” Accounting Firm, 6 years as a full and part-time University Lecturer and Professor in Accounting, Finance, Project Management, Global Business Strategy, Marketing and Quantitative Methods and over 12 years with a global software and professional services company, Cincom Systems, Inc. He has had senior IS and IT project and program manager responsibilities including the GEAE IT Program Manager with US Navy NAVAIR operations in Crystal City, VA and the US Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Base. He is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from ASQ and a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt from the Harrington Institute. Mr. Slaven is the PMI SW Ohio President Elect and has an MBA, Accountancy, and Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, Finance, from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
